Hockey Skating is a popular game in Alaska and Canada. Nowadays it is also played in New York and other warmer regions of the world. It has acquired a very popular statement in recent years. First comes the drilling. While learning a game, first you have to know the art of drilling. First straddle the stick and touch your skate with opposite skate. When this is done step over the sticks and then places your gloves down. This is the part of staying low. Now comes the balance part. In this firstly you have to set up the stick and pin. Second task is easy. Just pass the stick between your partners and spin! All this is part of drilling and requires a lot of hard work and determination. Next we come to the starting position. There can be a V-start or a side ways start. In a side ways start, you push off on a near skate. But in spite of V start and side ways start, there is also another kind of start. This is known as toe starts. What happens in a toe start? The only difference with V-start and side ways start is that here you take three quick strides before starting with the regular skating stride which is extended. Another sports tip which you have to keep in mind is the concept of forward skating. Forward skating has a few ground rules. Here we summarize some of them.

Stay low and focused. Your knees should be bent but your back should not bend very far forwards. Fully extend yourself with each stride. Do not entertain your legs in a circle; always go in a straight line. This helps to avoid a lot of problems. Skates should be brought as close as possible in the middle. The hockey stick should be kept on the ice and in front. Another important sports tip for hockey skating is that you should never forget to thrust your ankle when every stride ends. This will create a swoosh sound. Then there are some other sports tips with which you can minimize some extraneous side to side movements but those are beyond the scope of this article.
